Everything you need to know

Sessions take place via Zoom or Google Meet — both are free, easy to use on any device, and require no account to join. Kathryn will send you a link before each session. A tablet, laptop, or desktop with a camera and microphone is ideal.
Kathryn specialises in Years 3 and 4 (ages 7–9), as these are a pivotal stage in primary education. She also has comprehensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs across a wider age range.
Yes, absolutely. Supporting children with Special Educational Needs is a core part of Kathryn's expertise, built over 16 years in education. She has experience with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, dyscalculia, and more. Every approach is adapted to the individual child's needs and learning style.
Sessions are one hour long. This gives enough time to warm up, work through the session content thoroughly, and finish with a recap — without overtaxing a child's concentration. Shorter sessions can be discussed for younger or more easily fatigued children.
Kathryn primarily supports English (reading, writing, phonics, comprehension) and Maths at Key Stage 2 level. She follows the national curriculum and can work from your child's school's scheme of work if that's helpful.
Life with children is unpredictable — Kathryn understands that. She asks for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session at no charge. Sessions cancelled with less notice will be charged at the full rate, except in genuine emergencies.
Yes. After every session, Kathryn sends a short summary of what was covered and any areas to revisit. Block booking packages also include a dedicated progress update and a brief check-in call with parents.
There's no formal taster session, but every new family is invited to a free 20-minute introductory call. This gives you and your child a chance to meet Kathryn, ask questions, and decide if it feels right — with no obligation to book.
